Methodology

Calculated from Census Bureau table B08301 (Means of Transportation to Work), 1-year estimates: workers who worked from home divided by all workers 16+. The Census Bureau publishes this detailed table only for places where the 1-year estimates meet its reliability standards, so this list covers 244 of the roughly 650 places with 65,000+ residents, mostly the larger ones.

Puerto Rico and other US territories are not included. Rankings use competition ranking: tied values share a rank.
