Countries by GDP per Capita (PPP) (2025)
GDP per capita at purchasing power parity (PPP) converts each country's output per person into "international dollars" that buy the same basket of goods everywhere. It is the fairest simple comparison of living standards between countries, because a dollar goes much further in some economies than others.
Singapore ranks first at $163,354; Burundi ranks last at $1,248. 199 countries and territories have data.

Methodology
World Bank World Development Indicators, series NY.GDP.PCAP.PP.CD (GDP per capita, PPP, current international $). For each economy we show the most recent year with a value. Regional and income-group aggregates are excluded. Very small, wealthy economies and financial centers often top this list because their GDP is large relative to resident population.
Economies are listed under their World Bank names. Regional, income-group and other aggregates are excluded. Each row uses that economy's latest available year, and figures more than four years older than the most common latest year are left out so the ranking stays comparable; see the Year column. Some names are shortened from the World Bank's formal names (for example “South Korea” for “Korea, Rep.”).
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PPP and nominal GDP per capita?
Nominal figures use market exchange rates. PPP adjusts for differences in prices, so it better reflects what people can actually buy.
Why are some countries missing?
Some economies have no recent PPP estimate in the World Bank database, often because of conflict or missing price surveys.
