Methodology
World Bank World Development Indicators, series FP.CPI.TOTL.ZG (Inflation, consumer prices, annual %), which is the annual percentage change in the cost to the average consumer of a fixed basket of goods and services. For each economy we show the most recent year available; check the Year column, as reporting lags vary. Aggregates are excluded.
Economies are listed under their World Bank names. Regional, income-group and other aggregates are excluded. Each row uses that economy's latest available year, and figures more than four years older than the most common latest year are left out so the ranking stays comparable; see the Year column. Some names are shortened from the World Bank's formal names (for example “South Korea” for “Korea, Rep.”).
